Studio Polpo are working with artists Sally Labern and Sally Barker, alongside two graduate artists on the ‘ds2’ project. The project, funded by the Arts Council with support from Sheffield City Council, is new version of their earlier ‘drawing shed’ collaboration, and is a mobile kit of parts designed to be assembled into a number of tools for use by artists in communities across the UK. The first stages will be in Tinsley, and the team were out and about today testing printing techniques that will allow them to run a screen printing session in a few weeks time. This session, which we hope to run at Tinsley Meadows will allow children and adults to produce graphics (based on local patterns) on clothing to take away.
