A lot of updates for Tingas in spring 2018! The Roshni Age Better project (previously based at the Tinsley Mosque) and working with older ladies in the area will be coming to Tingas, as will weekly Zumba sessions from March. The University of Sheffield’s P3 Urban Agriculture Scheme has now got funding and is preparing to move to the site.
The Hall continues to host parties for Tinsley families (from naming ceremony parties, birthday parties with indoor bouncy castles, baby showers and wedding events) and we hope to start to use income from this to provide more facilities at the site.
The Tingas team is now bolstered by a team of four graduate interns from Sheffield Hallam University, who will be helping curate artists residencies at the site, ideas for a textile-based co-working space and our making days in April – watch this space!
As ever, if you are interested in renting space or holding an event at Tingas get in touch.
